Vertu Motors announces the acquisition of Hughes Group and its subsidiary Hughes of Beaconsfield for £21.8 million. Hughes has represented Mercedes-Benz for over 40 years, with outlets in Beaconsfield and Aylesbury - adjacent to Vertu Motors' existing Mercedes-Benz operations in Ascot, Reading and Slough. Vertu Motors announces acquisition of Gordon Lamb Group Limited for £18.7m. Gordon Lamb operates Toyota, Land Rover, SKODA and Nissan outlets in Chesterfield, as well as a SKODA outlet in Derby, and has been trading for more than 60 years.
Vertu Motors has acquired three Lookers Honda dealerships for approximately £2 milion, including goodwill of £0.2m. The acquisition takes Vertu's Honda network to 12 sites with the addition of the new locations in Nottingham, Derby and Stockton-on-Tees.

On 9 July 2014, the Group acquired a leasehold property in Silverlink, Newcastle which it opened on 18 September 2014 as the Group's first Infiniti dealership. This dealership is located 10 miles from the Nissan factory in Sunderland where the Infiniti Q30 model range is to be manufactured from next year.
