Ford Durham receives Motability Award
Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham has received an award from the Motability Scheme, which helps people with disabilities to stay mobile by exchanging their Government funded Mobility Allowance for a brand new car.
The dealership at Carrville, just outside of Durham City, received a Regional Award in recognition of its excellent service during the delivery of the Motability Scheme. The award is part of the Dealer Awards programme, which is designed to reward best practice and ensure all Motability customers receive exemplary customer service.
Following the Regional Award win, Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham will now be entered into the annual National Awards.

Her hard work has paid off as this award shows. I’m always surprised at the number of people who aren’t aware of the benefits of Motability. The Motability scheme enables disabled people to exchange their Higher Rate Motability Component of Disability Living Allowance, their Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP), their War Pensioners Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or their Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) for a new car, scooter or powered wheelchair. Since it was set up in 1978, Motability has helped more than 3 million people get mobile with a brand new vehicle. Many of the vehicles are available on Motability from Nil advance payment.
