Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Bolton Celebrates 45 Years Of Service From David Crowe

In a remarkable milestone, Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Bolton recently celebrated 45 years of dedicated service by David Crowe, a stalwart of the automotive industry who has witnessed and adapted to significant technological advancements throughout his career.

Master Technician David, aged 61, began his journey with the manufacturer as an Apprentice Technician at the Lex Mead Jaguar Bolton on Manchester Road. Over the years, he has shown an extraordinary commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, climbing the ranks to achieve level 4 accreditation and ultimately specialising in electric vehicle (EV) technology.

Reflecting on the changes he has seen in the automotive sector, David noted: "The technological evolution has been astounding. From the basic cars of yesteryears to today's sophisticated vehicles that are essentially computers on wheels. The next big challenge is the transition to electric vehicles.”

James Boyd, General Manager at Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Bolton, praised David’s unwavering dedication. "David's ability to embrace and adapt to technological changes is commendable. His journey from working on basic cars to mastering advanced EV technology is a testament to his expertise and commitment. We're incredibly proud to have him as part of our team."

David’s career has seen him remain loyal to the Bolton area, working at various sites including Manchester Road, Farnworth, and now Kay Street Bolton.

Outside of his professional life, David enjoys cycling and is an avid rugby league fan, supporting both Wigan and Leigh, with a slight preference for Leigh. He lives with his wife and their two greyhounds, who are very much part of his family.
