Vertu Motors Expands South-West Prescence With Honda Exeter Acquisition
Vertu Motors plc (“Vertu”) has continued its South-West expansion adding Honda Exeter to its portfolio in a purchase concluded this week from Hendy Group Limited.
The dealership, rebranded as Vertu Honda Exeter, further solidifies Vertu’s position as Europe’s largest Honda retailer, with a total of 17 Honda dealerships across the UK. Vertu Honda Exeter joins Vertu Honda Plymouth and Vertu Honda Truro in Vertu’s expanded presence in the South-West creating a market area across Devon and Cornwall.
The Honda Exeter dealership will remain at its current location on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate and all existing colleagues of the dealership have been welcomed into the Vertu team. The existing team, with their wealth of experience, will continue to provide exceptional service to customers, bolstered by access to Vertu’s wider catalogue of vehicles and service locations.

In recent years, Vertu has strategically expanded its presence in the South-West of England through a series of acquisitions.
Notably, the acquisition of the Rowes Garage group in November 2023 which added the Honda dealerships in Plymouth and Truro and which followed on from the acquisition and integration of more than 20 dealerships in December 2022 that formed the majority of the Helston Garages group.
Including this latest addition, Vertu operates over 30 outlets in the South-West.
