Birmingham Colleague Earns National Recognition At Vertu Masters Awards

A Birmingham-based credit controller has been recognised at a national level after being named Colleague of the Year in the Ford Division at the prestigious Vertu Masters Awards.

Claire Brookes, who works at Ford Birmingham Fleet in Garretts Green, received the honour as part of the Group’s annual awards programme, now in its 15th year.

The Masters Awards recognise excellence across the business and are open to colleagues in non-management roles, with success regarded as a significant achievement.

Claire has a pivotal role within the Birmingham Fleet site, ensuring the smooth and timely management of high volumes of financial transactions while supporting a wide range of operational activities.

Alongside her core responsibilities, she is known for her attention to detail, reliability and willingness to take on additional tasks to support colleagues and the wider team.

Her contribution extends beyond finance, helping to create a welcoming and well-organised environment for both colleagues and visitors, reflecting her commitment to going above and beyond in her role.

Claire Brookes said: “I am delighted to receive this award. I take great pride in my role and in supporting the team wherever I can.

“It is a busy environment, but I enjoy the variety and working with such a great group of colleagues. It means a lot to be recognised, and I am very grateful for the support of the team around me.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “Claire’s award is thoroughly deserved and highlights the vital role colleagues play behind the scenes in keeping our operations running smoothly.

“Her attention to detail, work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile make a real difference to the business every day.

“The Vertu Masters Awards are about recognising those who consistently deliver excellence, often across multiple areas, and Claire is a fantastic example of this.”
