Leapmotor Arrives In Harrogate Thanks To Vertu

Vertu has expanded its manufacturer network through a new partnership with Leapmotor, with a dealership near Harrogate in North Yorkshire becoming the first Vertu site to represent the fast-growing electric vehicle brand.

Leapmotor was introduced into Europe in 2024 after Stellantis - which owns the likes of Vauxhall, Citroen and Peugeot - formed a joint venture with the Chinese manufacturer to create Leapmotor International.

That venture is responsible for the sale of Leapmotor products outside China and launched the first two Leapmotor models in the UK - the T03 and the C10 - last year.

The T03 is an all-electric city car that is one of the cheapest EVs available in the UK, with the C10 being a stylish family SUV with a range of up to 263 miles.

The smaller B10 SUV and compact B05 hatchback have since joined the line-up, giving customers a choice of four all-electric models. Leapmotor also offers range-extender versions of both the B10 and C10 for drivers who are not yet ready to make the switch to fully electric motoring.

Vertu Leapmotor Harrogate will operate from the same site as Vertu Vauxhall Harrogate, which is situated on St James Retail Park in Knaresborough.

Colleagues at the site will represent both the Leapmotor and Vauxhall brands, offering a full range of new and used vehicles alongside comprehensive aftersales support.

Richard Burleigh, General Manager at Vertu Leapmotor Harrogate, said: “We’re delighted to introduce Leapmotor to the dealership, and are proud to have been chosen as the first Vertu sites to represent a new and innovative brand.

“The Leapmotor range offers fantastic value for customers looking to make the move to electric motoring, and we look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to the dealership to experience the vehicles for themselves.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “This new relationship with Leapmotor is another exciting moment for the Group, and provides us with even more choice for customers who are looking to make the transition to electric motoring.

“With a range that offers huge value for money, including one of the cheapest EVs on sale in the UK, we look forward to working with Leapmotor to support the brand’s growth and are proud to add them to the expansive list of manufacturers that we represent.”
