North East Apprentice Technician Recognised With Top Award

An Apprentice Technician based in the North East has been recognised with a top award from the fourth-largest automotive retailer group in the UK.
Nathan Wong, an Apprentice Technician at Hyundai Silverlink, took top honours in the Hyundai Division at the annual Vertu Masters Awards - which celebrate the achievements of the Vertu’s highest-performing non-management colleagues.
That includes colleagues working in a wide range of roles across no fewer than eleven Hyundai sites spread across the UK, from Dunfermline in Scotland down to Exeter in Devon.
Nathan has made a remarkable impact early in his career, excelling in his training while demonstrating strong technical ability, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for the industry.
Alongside his work in the workshop, he has also contributed to the growing social media presence of the award-winning dealership, showcasing both creativity and initiative.
Nathan Wong said: “I am really enjoying my apprenticeship and learning as much as I can every day. The support from the team has been incredible and has helped me grow in confidence both professionally and personally.
“Winning this award is a huge honour, especially so early in my career, and I am excited to see what the future holds.”
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “Nathan represents emerging talent within our business, and has already made an outstanding contribution in his role since joining the Group.
“The Vertu Masters Awards celebrate those who make a real difference regardless of their experience, and Nathan is richly deserving of this accolade.”
