Stuart McGilvary Takes The Lead At Vertu's Geely Glasgow Sites
Experienced automotive professional Stuart McGilvary has been appointed as the first General Manager of Vertu’s two dealerships in Glasgow representing Geely Auto.
Vertu Geely Glasgow South on Kennishead Road in the Darnley area of the city opened for business in February as the first Geely Auto dealership in the Group, and was followed in April by Vertu Geely Glasgow Central in Vertu’s iconic site on Port Dundas Road.
Stuart joins the business having gained extensive experience of the automotive industry during his career to date, including management roles representing a number of premium manufacturers.
His appointment sees him take over the day-to-day running of the two dealerships, which have already proven to be popular with customers keen to explore the first two Geely models to go on sale in the UK; the all-electric EX5 and the Super Hybrid Starray EM-i.
Both Vertu Geely Glasgow South and Vertu Geely Glasgow Central will shortly take delivery of the new all-new Geely EX2 as the latest addition to the range, with the compact city car coming to the UK having been the biggest-selling vehicle in China last year.
The all-electric model will offer range of up to 214 miles of range, with the entry level model starting from under £21,000.
