Vertu Adds Alpine To Portfolio With New Nottingham Dealership

Award-winning automotive retailer Vertu has celebrated the opening of its first Alpine dealership, marking the start of a new relationship with the French sportscar manufacturer.

Initially founded back in the 1950s, Alpine has been owned by Renault since 1973 and was relaunched as a standalone brand in 2017 - with the A110 being the first new Alpine model for more than two decades.

Alpine Store Nottingham is located in what was previously Vertu’s Honda Motorcycle showroom on Haydn Road, and sits alongside the existing Renault and Dacia dealerships.

The dealership - which is subject to investment of more than £400,000 - is the first Alpine sales outlet in the region as the manufacturer further strengthens its retail presence in the UK.

It will provide customers from across with the East Midlands with the opportunity to explore the two fully-electric models currently offered by Alpine in the UK.

The Alpine A290 is a performance-orientated hot hatch that takes inspiration from Alpine’s motorsport programmes in both Formula One and the World Endurance Championship, with the sporty city car having been named as joint winner of the 2025 European Car of the Year alongside the Renault 5.

The A390 meanwhile is an elegant and stylish five-door fastback that is described by the manufacturer as a racing car in a suit’, providing drivers with the performance of a GT car in a package that is at home on the school commute as it is on a long motorway run.

A number of new roles will be available within the dealership as part of the addition of the Alpine brand.

Matt Reilly, General Manager of Alpine Store Nottingham, said: “It’s hugely exciting for everyone at the dealership to be involved in introducing Alpine to the region, and we are also proud to be the first Alpine Store within the Vertu Group.

“Both the A290 and the A390 have made a real impression since being introduced to the UK market and we look forward to welcoming customers - old and new - to see what the Alpine range has to offer.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “We are delighted to expand our relationship with Renault through the opening of our first Alpine dealership.

“Alpine is famous for producing some iconic models through the years, with the current line-up being particularly impressive as the brand moves into a new all-electric era.

“We look forward to welcoming customers to our new-look Nottingham site to enjoy the full Alpine experience, and to developing a successful relationship with the brand.”
