Vertu Introduces Geely Auto To Successful Kings Norton Dealership
Vertu has introduced a new Geely Auto site to the UK’s second city after confirming Birmingham as the location of its third dealership representing the fast-growing automotive brand.
Vertu Geely Kings Norton will operate from Vertu’s existing site on Kings Norton Business Park, which will continue to offer Ford new car sales in the short term before the dealership transitions to become a Geely dealership offering new and used cars, alongside a full aftersales service.
The dealership will continue to operate as a Ford Authorised Repairer, investing in the most up-to-date aftersales equipment and training to ensure that colleagues can continue to look after the servicing and warranty needs of existing Ford customers.
The decision to launch a Geely site in the heart of the West Midlands provides customers from across the region with the opportunity to explore the first two models introduced to the UK market, with more to follow in the coming months.
The all-electric Geely EX5 was the first model to arrive in the UK, with the family SUV already proving to be a popular addition to the marketplace, offering a range of up to 267 miles and a starting price of under £32,000.
This was followed by the Starray EM-i Super Hybrid PHEV, which delivers up to 84 miles of electric running and a combined range of more than 600 miles, with prices starting from under £30,000.
Initially, Vertu Geely Kings Norton will operate from the existing used car showroom at the site while the dealership undergoes an extensive £400,000 refurbishment programme over the coming months.
The investment will focus on the new car showroom that will become the home of Vertu Geely Kings Norton, with improvements also planned to the customer lounge and service reception areas.

Ford new car sales will continue at the nearby Vertu Ford Birmingham site on Bristol Street, as well as at Vertu Ford Shirley and Vertu Ford Redditch.
