Vertu Leeds Colleague Turns Storytelling Dream Into Published Novel
A Yorkshire automotive professional has turned a long-held passion for storytelling into a published novel whilst continuing to build a successful career at Vertu Land Rover Leeds.
Alongside his role as a Service Advisor, Booker Odena has spent the past 18 months developing The Scar of Time, the first instalment of an ambitious three-book saga.
The science-fantasy story centres on Kai, a young man who is born with special abilities and is drawn into the hidden world of the Time Masters, an ancient civilisation with the power to manipulate time itself.
Publishing his first novel reflects the same dedication and commitment that Booker brings to his role at the dealership on Sheepscar Way, helping to deliver a high level of service to customers from across Yorkshire.
Booker Odena said: “I’ve had the idea about a fantasy world where people could manipulate time in my head for a while, and over the last 18 months, I’ve worked hard alongside my role at the dealership to bring the idea to life in The Scar of Time.
“My job is about listening to what our customers need, dealing with any problems that they have and making sure that they have the best possible experience. Although writing a novel has challenged me in different ways, the skills I’ve developed during my career with Vertu have helped me to stay focused and committed to my goal of getting my first novel published.
“I’m hugely proud to have achieved this dream and hope people enjoy reading the book as much as I enjoyed writing it.”
