Vertu Motors Announces Partnership with Yeovil's Westland Sports Football Club

Vertu Motors is delighted to be supporting Westland Sports Football Club, a grassroots football team based in Yeovil.

This collaboration underscores the Vertu brand's commitment to not just high-profile Premier League partnerships but, crucially, to investing in local communities and nurturing emerging talents.

By bolstering grassroots football, Vertu Motors aims to inspire the next generation of athletes, champion a healthy lifestyle, and fortify community ties.

As part of this partnership, the Men's first and reserve team shorts will proudly sport the Vertu Motors logo. This emblem will also be featured on the soon-to-be-formed Women's team's kit. In addition to kit sponsorship, Vertu Motors will also benefit from a pitch-side board and branding on clubhouse beer cups.

This initiative closely follows the wider Vertu Motors group's strategic expansion in the South West, with the acquisition of 28 franchised sales outlets from Helston Garages Group in December 2022, including Vertu Land Rover Yeovil.

Vertu Land Rover Yeovil, in particular, will be working closely with the Club to support and celebrate their fixtures, the teams themselves and the Club’s wider community activities.

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors, commented on this recent collaboration: "We are excited to be a part of Westland Sport FC's journey and look forward to seeing their success both on and off the pitch. It is essential for us to support not just the pinnacle of sport but also its foundations.

“Through partnerships like these, we believe in building stronger communities and fostering local talent."

Harry Gibbs, Westland Sports FC Chairman, said: “Everyone at Westland Sports appreciates the support from Vertu Motors. The partnership has helped towards providing new kits for our first and reserve teams.

“We are a grassroots football club with more than 10 sides, including our youth section; this is a massive help to the whole Club. I hope that this is a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
