Vertu Opens First Omoda and Jaecoo Site In Burton
Vertu, the UK’s fourth-largest automotive retailer, has celebrated the opening of its first Omoda and Jaecoo dealership as it embarks on a new relationship with two of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the UK market.
Vertu Omoda Burton and Vertu Jaecoo Burton will operate from the existing site off Nicholson Way, where sales of new Citroën models have now come to a close.
The dealership will continue to operate as an authorised repair and aftersales site to meet the needs of existing Citroën customers, with new car sales still available at nearby Vertu Derby Citroën, which was recently named as Large Retailer of the Year at the manufacturer’s annual awards.
Since being launched by parent company Chery in August 2024, Omoda and Jaecoo have made a notable impression on buyers, with models like the Omoda 5 and Jaecoo 7 now regular sights on UK roads.
The Jaecoo 7 in particular has proven to be popular, having been the best-selling model in the UK in March and currently behind only the Ford Puma and Kia Sportage in year-to-date sales to the end of May.
At the same point of the year, a combined market share of 4.66% puts Omodo & Jaecoo sixth on the year-to-date rankings ahead of established manufacturers like Vauxhall, Toyota and Peugeot.
Vertu Omoda Burton and Vertu Jaecoo Burton will provide customers with the opportunity to explore the full range of models offered by both brands, which encompass SUVs of different sizes starting from a little over £24,000.
The Burton site - which is undergoing a £300,000 refurbishment - will continue to operate under the leadership of Branch Manager Martin Maw and his team, who consistently deliver exceptional results in regards to both sales and customer experience.
