Vertu Appoints New Head Of Business For Durham BMW Dealership
Vertu has appointed John Curry as Head of Business at its BMW dealership in Durham.
John previously held a similar role at BMW Teesside before taking up the position of General Manager at Vertu Hyundai Peterlee.
Under his management, the Peterlee dealership on Mill Hill was named the best performing Hyundai retail site in the UK having topped the 2021 Hyundai Balanced Score Card League for eight of the twelve months of the year to emerge ahead of the near 150 dealerships that were open at that time.
John was also named General Manager of the Year across the Hyundai Division at the 2025 Vertu Management awards in recognition of his ongoing success leading the Peterlee team.
In his new role, John will take over day-to-day management of Vertu BMW Durham on Broomside Park, which was acquired by Vertu in 2020 at the same time as John’s former site on Teesside.
He will report directly to Vertu BMW Franchise Director Andy Verrall.
