Vertu Vauxhall Skipton Sponsors PE Kit In Boost For Sandy Lane Primary

Pupils at a Yorkshire primary school are set for a sporting shake-up thanks to Vertu Vauxhall Skipton, which has stepped in to support the school’s ambitions to widen access to sport for all children.
The dealership, located on Crossings Business Park, will support Sandy Lane Primary by sponsoring sports activities and providing new PE kits, helping to ensure that more children can take part in physical education sessions.
The partnership will help the school enhance its already strong focus on physical education.
Sandy Lane Primary School, a well-established and inclusive school, prides itself on nurturing confident and resilient learners through a broad and engaging curriculum. Sport plays a central role in school life, with pupils encouraged to take part in regular physical activity, competitive events and outdoor learning to support their wellbeing and development.
By funding PE kits and supporting sports provision, Vertu Vauxhall Skipton aims to remove barriers to participation and help more pupils access the full range of activities that the school offers.
The dealership plans to continue working with Sandy Lane Primary School throughout the year as part of an ongoing commitment to supporting the local community.
Ali Malik, General Manager at Vertu Vauxhall Skipton, said: “Sandy Lane is a school at the heart of its community, and the work it does for local families is exceptional.
“Supporting their sports provision feels like a natural fit for us, especially as Vauxhall is sponsoring Team GB for the Olympics, and Vertu does so much with sports teams across the country.
“PE is so important for confidence and wellbeing, and every child should feel equipped to take part. Being able to contribute in a practical way means a great deal to us.”
Mark Hitchen, Deputy Headteacher at Sandy Lane Primary School, said: “Sport is a real strength of our school, and this sponsorship helps us make it even more accessible.
“We want every child to feel part of school teams and activities without families worrying about kit or cost. Vertu Vauxhall Skipton’s contribution helps us remove those barriers and continue offering the enriching experiences our children deserve.
“We are very grateful for its involvement.”
