Bristol Street Motors Mansfield scores with Sherwood Wolf Hunt sponsorship deal
Bristol Street Motors Hyundai and Suzuki in Mansfield are continuing their support for local sports clubs with a shirt sponsorship deal with newly-formed Sherwood Wolf Hunt Rugby League Club.
Sherwood Wolf Hunt RLFC is based in Mansfield Woodhouse, in the middle of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, and they are competing in this year's Midlands Rugby League.
The name Sherwood Wolf Hunt RLFC is based in the village's history. Mansfield Woodhouse, which has been home to warriors since Roman times, has a 'Wolf Hunt Cottage' - home of the medieval King's Wolf Hunters, dating back to Robin Hood times.
The first team shirts will sport Bristol Street Motors logo throughout its inaugural season. The dealership also supports local cricket and football teams as part of its community involvement.
Derrol Witts, General Manager of Bristol Street Motors Mansfield Hyundai and Suzuki, said: "It is important that the dealership plays a full role in the community in which it works and sport is a major part of our local area.
"I am sure that Sherwood Wolf Hunt is going to be a very successful and popular club and am delighted that Bristol Street Motors can play a small part in helping it to establish itself within the sport."
Richard Tempest-Mitchell, Chairman of Sherwood Wolf Hunt, said: "We are building a club that we hope will be a part of the community for many years to come and will progress through the sport to become a well-respected name.
"The rugby league club aims to work with the local community and bring positive opportunities to this area, outside of the sport's heartlands. The support of businesses such as Bristol Street Motors is vital to us achieving this aim and we are grateful for the sponsorship."
