Derby Automotive Leader Wins Prestigious Industry Award

Derby motor retail professional Vikki Chauntry-Brooks, General Manager at Vertu Nissan Derby, has been named one of the winners of the Inspiring Automotive Women Awards, organised by the Automotive 30% Club.
The award celebrates Vikki’s exceptional leadership and her commitment to creating an inclusive workplace culture within the automotive sector.
Vikki has played a pivotal role in driving operational success and championing diversity at Nissan Derby, making her a standout figure in the region’s automotive industry.
Vikki will receive her award at The Institute of the Motor Industry Awards Dinner at the Hotel Intercontinental, Park Lane, London, where Julia Muir, Founder of the Automotive 30% Club, will personally make the presentations during a special VIP reception.
The Inspiring Automotive Women Awards form part of the Automotive 30% Club’s mission to improve gender balance across the sector, aiming for at least 30% of key leadership positions in the automotive industry to be held by women by 2030.
Vikki Chauntry-Brooks said: "This award is a proud moment, but more importantly, it’s a chance to shine a light on the opportunities available for women in our industry.
“Automotive has traditionally been male-dominated, and initiatives like the 30% Club are vital because they challenge perceptions and create pathways for talented women to progress.
“I hope my recognition inspires others in Derby and beyond to consider a career in this sector – there is so much room to grow and succeed!"
Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu Motors, said: "Vikki’s success is a testament to her leadership and her commitment to building an inclusive culture. She has shown that when businesses embrace diversity, they unlock innovation and stronger performance.
“The Automotive 30% Club plays a crucial role in driving this change, and we are proud to see Vikki recognised as part of that movement."
