Sunderland Accident Repair Centre Manager Recognised With Top Award

An automotive professional from the North East has been recognised with the accolade of Accident Repair Centre Manager of the Year at the annual Vertu Management Awards.
Kevin Stokoe, manager at Vertu Accident Repair Centre Sunderland, was recognised for the exceptional results that have been delivered by the site on Boldon Business Park since he joined the business back in January 2024.
Despite a noticeable downturn in accident repair volumes across the industry in recent years, the Sunderland site has delivered strong results to consistently perform ahead of plan under Kevin’s leadership.
Kevin’s drive and desire to do the best job possible for customers, and to uphold Vertu standards at all time, has been reflected in the site delivering consistently high customer reviews throughout the past twelve months.
The Accident Repair Centre Manager of the Year is one of a number of accolades that are distributed annually as part of Vertu’s Management Awards, which celebrate those who have made an outstanding contribution to the ongoing success of the UK’s fourth largest automotive retailer.
Kevin Stokoe said: “I was pleasantly surprised to get the call to tell me I had been named as Accident Repair Centre Manager of the Year, and am proud that my efforts have been recognised in this way.
“This award isn’t just for me, but also for the whole team for the effort they put in on a daily basis to achieve the goals that I have set, and to provide the best possible customer experience.”
Robert Forrester, Vertu Chief Executive, said: “Kevin’s leadership has been pivotal to the success of Vertu Accident Repair Centre Sunderland, and this award is further reflection of that.
“He richly deserves this recognition, and I look forward to seeing the Sunderland centre go from strength-to-strength under his leadership in the future.”
