Vansdirect Returns To BTCC With Team Bristol Street Motors
Vansdirect, the Newport-based national online retailer, has announced that it will return to the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) paddock for the remainder of the 2024 season in partnership with TEAM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS.
Vansdirect has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with the front-running BTCC team in the past. Initially supporting the team in 2021, Vansdirect increased its backing for the 2022 campaign to encompass the wider team as it expanded to a four-car programme.
With the Bristol Street Motors EXCELR8 team, Vansdirect enjoyed a stunning season on track, as Tom Ingram stormed to the Championship title for the first time in his career after a year-long fight with rivals Ash Sutton and Jake Hill.
Ironically this season, Ingram finds himself in the heart of battle with the same two drivers as he bids to reclaim the championship title, holding the current lead in the standings by three points, with three events left to run.
The renewed partnership underwent a soft launch during the previous meeting at Knockhill, as Vansdirect branding featured on all four TEAM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS cars.
Vansdirect will have an increased presence in the paddock for the next race weekend on the full Donington Park Grand Prix layout, and across the events still to come at Silverstone and Brands Hatch Grand Prix. Vansdirect customers can expect exclusive opportunities to connect with TEAM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS to be launched very soon.
Gregor Mackie, Divisional Operations Director of Vertu Ventures, who oversees the Vansdirect brand, said: “We are delighted to announce our return to the British Touring Car Championship paddock and are excited at the prospect of working with TEAM BRISTOL STREET MOTORS again for the three events left on the schedule.
“Our partnership during 2021 and 2022 was hugely successful, and as part of the wider Vertu Motors group, we have kept a watchful eye on how the team has been performing. We look forward to not only supporting the team as it bids to secure the title again this season, but also to showcasing the Vansdirect name alongside a series that relies heavily on commercial vehicles to keep the show on the road!”
Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome back Vansdirect for the remainder of the season, particularly at such as critical stage as we race towards the conclusion of the 2024 campaign.
“Our initial partnership coincided with the most successful season we have enjoyed during our time in the BTCC, when we clinched the title for the first time back in 2022. Hopefully that is something we can now replicate during the final three rounds of the season.”
To celebrate the renewed partnership, Vansdirect will be running a competition via their Facebook page to win two EXCELR8 hospitality tickets to watch the team race at Donington Park on Sunday 25th August.
Further fan engagement opportunities will also be announced shortly to Vansdirect customers.
