Vertu MINI CHALLENGE Driver Joins Fundraiser For North Devon Hospice

Professional racing driver Ned Anthony made a pit stop at Vertu MINI Exeter to help ensure a fundraising event for North Devon Hospice got off to a flying start.

Anthony, a competitor in the JCW class of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE, joined forces with Vertu MINI Exeter to help raise over £500 as part of MINI’s Local Hero programme, which encourages dealerships to support and celebrate their local communities.

Held at the dealership’s forecourt, a ‘Cup-less Coffee Club’ welcomed MINI owners from across the region, who were encouraged to bring reusable cups and donate in exchange for coffee, served by local independent business Coco & Bean.

Ned Anthony said: “It was brilliant to see so many people come together for such a good cause. The MINI community has a real spirit about it, on and off the track. I was proud to be part of something that supports the incredible work of North Devon Hospice.”

Gareth Cornell, General Manager of Vertu MINI Exeter, said: “It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout from MINI owners and supporters. The range of vehicles on display was a real testament to the passion of the MINI community, and we’re proud to continue supporting North Devon Hospice through events like this.

“It was amazing to see so many different vehicles turn up, and I’m delighted that the MINI community has come together like this to support a worthwhile cause.”

Vertu MINI Exeter has already proudly supported two of the charity’s flagship fundraising events this year, Nightwalk and the North Devon Marathon.

As part of the ongoing partnership, more fundraising activities are planned throughout the year to continue supporting the charity’s vital work.

Claire Paine, Business Relationship Manager at North Devon Hospice, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who brought along their car to make this event so amazing, and to Vertu MINI Exeter for its continued support.”

North Devon Hospice has been delivering specialist care and support for over 40 years, both at home and at the hospice, ensuring patients and their families receive compassionate care during the most challenging times.
