Vertu MINI Exeter Drives Support For North Devon Hospice As Local 'MINI Hero'

Vertu MINI Exeter is supporting North Devon Hospice, as part of MINI’s Local MINI Hero initiative, which encourages dealerships to actively support and celebrate their local communities.

As part of this special partnership, Vertu MINI Exeter will be sponsoring and attending two major fundraising events for the hospice this year – its recent Nightwalk, and the North Devon Marathon, which is set to take place on 29th June. Attendees can look out for two stunning MINI vehicles on display at each event, as the dealership showcases its commitment to the cause and community.

Throughout the year, the team at Vertu MINI Exeter will also be taking part in additional fundraising activities to support the invaluable work carried out by North Devon Hospice, which provides expert care and support to local people facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

The initiative is part of MINI’s wider Local Heroes programme, designed to uplift lives, connect with new audiences, and champion the people and places that make each community unique. For Vertu MINI Exeter, being a Local Hero means more than just visibility - it’s about making a meaningful difference.

Gareth Cornell, CMA General Manager at Vertu MINI Exeter, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be supporting North Devon Hospice this year. The work they do is nothing short of extraordinary, and through the MINI Local Hero programme we’re able to play a small part in giving back to the community. We’re looking forward to the upcoming events and hope to raise as much as we can to help the hospice continue its vital work.”

Claire Paine from North Devon Hospice added: “We’re so grateful to Vertu MINI Exeter for choosing to support North Devon Hospice through sponsorship and fundraising. Their involvement in events like the Nightwalk and the North Devon Marathon helps to raise awareness and vital funds, allowing us to continue caring for local people who are facing the toughest of times. Partnerships like this truly make a difference.”

North Devon Hospice has been providing expert care for people across the region for over 40 years, both at home and the hospice, ensuring comfort, dignity, and support for individuals and their families during the most difficult times.
