Vertu Skoda Chesterfield Supports Children With Toy Collection Drive

Vertu Skoda Chesterfield has brought joy to children in need in South Yorkshire after delivering a car full of presents to Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

Throughout December, the dealership - located on Discovery Way in Old Whittington - encouraged the local community to come together to donate toys and other essential items to support children receiving care at the hospital.

An all-new Skoda Kodiaq took pride of place in the dealership to act as the collection point, with the aim being to fill the boot with gifts - no mean feat given the dimensions of the award-winning SUV.

In total, the donations more than filled the rear of the Kodiaq, with Service and Diagnostic Technician Lewis Parkin and Sales Advisor Susan Fairchild tasked with delivering more than 100 individual gifts to the hospital.

Jane Darby, Hub Officer at Sheffield Childrens Hospital Charity, said: We are incredibly grateful for the support of the team at Skoda Chesterfield, and for the donation of toys.

Each present has made a real difference ,and helped to bring comfort to children at the hospital.

Jason Hurt, Skoda Chesterfield General Manager, said: Were delighted with the response to our drive to collect toys for the Sheffield Childrens Hospital, and have to say a huge thank you to all of those who visited the dealership and left a gift in the Kodiaq.

To collect so many gifts was fantastic."
