Vertu Transforms Nottingham Site To Create Flagship Skoda Dealership

Vertu has completed a major refurbishment of its Nuthall Road site in Nottingham to create a flagship Skoda dealership following an eight-week transformation programme.

The project to create Vertu Skoda Nottingham involved a full internal strip-out and refit of the showroom and workshop, alongside significant mechanical and electrical upgrades.

External works included faade improvements and a reconfiguration of the car park to meet Skoda’s corporate identity standards.

The refurbishment also included new floor finishes, ceilings, partitions, upgraded lighting, HVAC systems, and EV charge points.

The new site will offer customers the opportunity to explore Skoda’s extensive range of models, including best sellers like the Fabia and Octavia alongside the high-tech Enyaq and Elroq EVs – the latter of which was recently named as one of seven finalists for the 2026 Car of the Year.

James Orridge has been appointed to oversee the dealership as General Manager, having previously held similar roles at Vertu’s Hyundai Mansfield and Hyundai Nottingham locations.

Joining James in the site’s management team is General Sales Manager James Riley, who has transferred from Vertu Mansfield Volkswagen, where he was Used Car Sales Manager.

James Orridge, General Manager at Vertu Nottingham Skoda, said: “We’ve created a space that reflects the quality and innovation of the Skoda brand. The transformation will help deliver a fantastic experience for our customers, and create an environment where our team can flourish.

“It’s been exciting to see the dealership evolve so quickly. The attention to detail throughout the refurbishment has been exceptional.

“The energy here is fantastic: we’ve got a fresh team, a fresh brand, and a site that’s been completely reimagined. It’s a great platform to build on.”

Robert Forrester, Chief Executive of Vertu, said: “This investment underlines our commitment to the Skoda brand and to our customers in Nottingham.

“The team has delivered a high-quality result on time, and the dealership is now well-positioned to serve the local market with a strong offering.”
